New Important Contract Signed!

25/10/2005

By signing the contract with Bombardier Transportation Norway AS, Ring Mekanikk AS have reason to celebrate. The contract means putting into production newly developed seats for the trains trafficing Rørosbanen (the distance between Hamar and Trondheim). The value of this contract is approx 11 mill NOK.

Years and years of experience and good technical solutions resulted in this contract for Ring Mekanikk AS, and 18 months of hard work within sales and development finally paid of. The challenge and the goal of the project is to secure  good quality seating with a high level of comfort for the passenger, without reducing the number of seats in each compartment. A prototype has for the last 6 months been tested in one of the regular compartments, and that experience led to this contract.

The R & D department have their hands full for the next six months or so, meeting tough demands on comfort, appearance, strength, fire safety and documentation on the seats.

For Ring Mekanikk AS this good news means stabile employment and a reinforced belief in the future. The seats will be delivered during the period from June to November 2006.

The company have supplied complete train-seats to NSB (Norwegian Railways) since the mid seventies and do now feel rejoiced that their well-earned competence comes to use once again.
